Following a very successful career with the Federal Government, Melinda Ampthor brings broad experience as an expert facilitator and coach to teams and organizations while creating safe spaces for all to contribute.  Melinda’s gift is helping others connect ideas and events and “see” context that adds meaning, nuance, and importance to new ideas and possibilities.

Melinda possesses a tremendous aptitude for quickly building relationships and genuinely earning the respect of clients and peers at all levels.  Melinda is a frequently sought after facilitator, coach, instructor, and mentor, and is known for her ability to blend her infectious energy, compassion, and expertise to obtain results.

A lifelong learner, Melinda has post graduate degrees in Education and Public Health from George Washington University along with graduate certifications from Georgetown University in Executive Leadership Coaching, Organizational Change and Change Leadership, and Navigating Paradox and Polarities.  She has a unique approach with teams and individuals and is comfortable with discomfort and the tensions that may be just below the surface in any conversation.

Melinda is known for her ability to ‘pivot’ with what’s happening in the room or conversation as needed for the individual’s, team’s or group’s desired outcomes.  She enjoys helping others identify the gaps between where they are and where they want to go, bringing the human side into the co-creation of a way forward.  Melinda is adept at identifying polarities which need to be managed, integrating the multiple perspectives and adaptive changes needed to achieve success.

Melinda’s expertise in leadership development hails from extensive experience in the design and delivery of workshops, off sites and in-residence experiential learning and training programs.  Success looks like connection + vulnerability + empathy + light-heartedness!
