Dare to Lead™
Dare to Lead Training Program

What You’ll Learn

Based on the research of Dr. Brené Brown, Dare to Lead™ is an empirically based courage building program designed to be facilitated by organizational development professionals.

The most significant finding from Brené’s latest research is that courage is a collection of four skill sets that are teachable, measurable, and observable. These skills include:

  • Recognizing and embracing vulnerability
  • Emotional literacy
  • Empathy and self-compassion
  • Articulating and living your values
  • Engaged feedback
  • Building trust
  • Resilience

The Dare to Lead™ program focuses on developing these courage-building skills through workshops, trainings, and coaching to help individuals, teams, and organizations move from armored leadership to daring leadership.

What Will You DO Differently?

  • Define a current leadership arena for yourself, and commit to specific individual actions for showing up more courageously in that arena.
  • Choose “Daring Leadership” over “Armored Leadership” behaviors, and promote these behaviors in your organization.
  • Recognize and call out the myths of vulnerability within your organization.
  • Practice embracing vulnerability in difficult conversations.
  • Define your key values and articulate the behaviors that reflect those values in your professional life.
  • Deliberately build environments of trust.
  • Use a resiliency process to help yourself and your teams recover when things go wrong.
